Technical Director Phil Moore, together with Keith Williams and Mark Waldron from National Grid, presented a paper entitled ‘In-service circuit breaker condition assessment’ to the CIGRE Paris Session in August 2024. We are now pleased to announce that the paper has been awarded ‘Best Paper’ by the A3 (Transmission & Distribution Equipment) Committee. Phil Moore says ‘We are delighted to learn that our work on circuit breaker monitoring has been selected for this prestigious award and we will continue to work with our colleagues from National Grid to improve our expertise and understanding of this important area’. Elimpus would also like to extend their congratulations to Japanese colleagues who authored ‘Long operational experiences of medium-voltage solid-insulated switchgears’ (paper 11266), which was similarly honoured by the A3 committee.
